When it comes to vision, planning and big decisions, business culture puts data and logic front and centre. Gut and feeling are always there, but we usually treat them as an inconvenience to work around.
Rigour matters. I’ve built a career on it. But strategy is made and delivered by humans, and humans run on nervous systems more than spreadsheets and decks.
The answer tends to hide in what we’re working around: the tension, the thing nobody’s saying, the idea that doesn’t fit what’s been done before.
I bring it out.
How I work
I start by listening: to you, your people, the numbers, and what isn’t being said. Then I work with you, to:
- read what people are showing as well as saying
- run towards the tension, not around it
- bring what’s underneath to the surfaceN
- get the answers out of you and your people, not just into a deck
Engage me in (one of) three ways:
- A day or two. Something’s stuck, or an opportunity is live and you need clarity fast. Where you might usually bring in a facilitator.
- A project. Something specific isn’t shifting and you need help driving it. We work on it until it’s resolved. Where you might usually bring in a consultant.
- A retainer. Someone in your corner, monthly, for the moments that need a clear head. Where you might usually bring in a strategic advisor.
Whatever the format, you leave with truth, clarity, and plans people can actually carry-out.
When to bring me in
- A pitch that matters
- Annual planning or an end-of-year review
- Setting or resetting your vision
- A problem that keeps refusing to shift
- A new or rebuilt leadership team
- A launch or moment thats out of the ordinary

The bit you don’t see on the invoice
Nervous systems borrow from each other. One steady person can change the state of a whole room.
I rose fast, often under pressure and without a map, and I’ve spent ten years doing the personal work most people only talk about. So I’m not easily rattled: not by complexity, not by conflict, and not by what we find when we dig.
When I come into your business, things slow down enough to think. People say what they’ve been holding back. Urgency drops, and clarity comes up. Steady doesn’t mean comfortable, though. I’ll hold the space, and I’ll hold you to what we agree.
Refreshingly direct. Relentlessly accountable.
Case studies
Leadership & Culture
“For a brand new leadership team, vision was more important than definition.”
A senior team was rebuilt quickly after a sudden leadership exit, and crossed wires and power struggles followed. Fixing the structure wasn’t enough. What changed things was building a shared vision the whole team felt part of. Once they had it, the tensions dissolved.
Strategy & Innovation
“They had something valuable. They couldn’t see it clearly enough to do anything with it.”
Two founders had built something that outgrew its original purpose, and it was stalling. They brought me in to build a plan and get it back on track. Along the way we realised the real gap was what they stood for. We defined that first, and the strategy followed easily.
